New Year Challenge starts on 9th January 2023
Kinetics New Year Challenge is a 6-week nutrition and fitness program designed specifically for people who want to lose weight, lower blood pressure and become less anxious. Without having to stop living life to the full or train like an Olympic athlete.

For many people, New Year is a time of reflection. After a period of indulgence and festivities, January is a time to return to your usual schedule and set some new goals.
Three of the popular resolutions that people make over New Year are to eat better, lose weight and get fitter. It all sounds so simple as you countdown to midnight, but things feel a little tougher when reality sets in. Nearly 80% of people give up by February...but why is this?
Making it too complex – Even thought weight loss and healthy eating doesn't need to be complicated, you end up picking some plan that needs fifteen spreadsheets just to make one meal. Counting, weighing, weird timings...how are you supposed to fit all that into your already hectic life?
Making it too hard – In your enthusiasm for change, you set goals that are too difficult to actually stick too. A bland and torturous diet of limp lettuce, celery and cayenne pepper means you have quit before the end of your first week!
Going it alone – Maybe you have tried to start a new diet and exercise plan in the past but didn't have sufficient support or accountability. With nowhere to get answers when you need them or no one to turn to for extra encouragement when you hit a bump in the road, it can be really hard to stay motivated!

We made it easier for Helen and supported her onto our Kinetics 'Back to Basics' challenge following her second son being born in June 2022. After a caesarean birth she was fairly immobile post surgery until September 5th.
She couldn't get active enough in order to get back to her ideal weight and body shape, where she felt stronger and most comfortable. Helen wanted to lose weight steadily so not to effect the nutrition that her body was giving daily to her newly born son.
Helen started our Nutrition plan and Training Programme and we agreed some SMART targets for 3 months;
- lose 6-7 kg body weight (around 1 stone)
- lose 6 kg body fat mass
- maintain or improve muscle mass, all by Xmas Eve.
She achieved her targets early and lost 6% body fat by December 5th 2022.
Our members typically lose around 5kg (11lbs) scale weight and change body fat percentage by up to 4-5% during our six-week challenges and more importantly they learn the skills they need to keep that weight off whilst still living and eating well.
